These are the Hand Tools Used by the Boys of the CCC
Hands Were a common tool and Sometimes the Best!
You can see the Burned Trees Behind
You can see the Fire Rakes,Shuvel,Two Man Saw and
a 2 sided Ax.

This Photo Shows the Men Checking out their Tools for the Day. (Notice that It was common at the time for White camps, Black or Colored camps and WW1 Camps and Native American Camps. This explains why you will not see skin colors mixed. Unlike Today
This Shows one of the Men with Fire Supression Equipment which was used to put out forest fires.
Here you see the refreshment truck. It would carry Water for drinking and some small snacks to keep the energy up. Some Project took them 5 miles or more from Camp.
The Men are at role Call. The trucks are ready to head out for the day.
Most men were on the trucks by 6am.
While you may not think of the kitchen as tools. Well they are. Such as stoves and Food supplies.
Without them. No one would live.

Here the Men are shown the proper way to use a hand saw. Most men did not know how to use any hand tools before they came to camp.
